75 Million Dollar & Fairy Tale wedding cakes, Oh How SWEET it is!
A wedding cake is a traditional cake served at wedding receptions following dinner. Traditionally, wedding cakes were made to bring good luck to all the guests and the couple. However, now they are more of a centerpiece to the wedding and may not even get served to the guests. Some cakes are built with only a single edible tier for the bride and groom to share, but this is rare since the cost difference between fake and real is very minimum. The cutting and shaping of a piece of cake before distributing it to the guests still symbolizes the couples union and their promise to forever provide for each other.
On average, a wedding cake costs between $350 and $450 nationwide. Several factors affect the cost of a wedding cake including the size of the cake, the ingredients, the number of tiers. However, with cakes becoming the centerpiece of the parties it is natural for the price to go higher & higher. It is almost like picking the most expensive diamond wedding ring to compete with others.
The most expensive engagement cake was priced at $75 million
British-born designer Debbie Wingham created one of the world's most expensive cakes with an exorbitant price tag of 75 million dollars. The order came from an anonymous buyer from the UAE for his daughter's joint birthday and engagement party. The cake is a six-foot-long fashion show runway and weighs around 1,000 pounds. It took over 1100 hours to make this all-edible cake. All of the tiny edible figurines were hand-sculpted with Wingham’s couture clothing and accessories, including sunglasses and handbags.
Much of the value came from the bling. The cake has 4,000 diamonds, including a 5.2-carat pink diamond, a 6.4-carat yellow diamond, and 15 five-carat w The runway is also bedazzled with 400 one-carat and 73 three-carat white diamonds, along with 75 three-carat black diamonds. And yes, it’s also tasty.

Check out the details on some enormous epic cakes priced up to $500,000.00 and more!
There is one family-run bakery founded in 1993 called LeNovelle Cake in Jakarta, Indonesia, and a branch in Bali that specializes in epic wedding cakes. From fairy-tale castles to glazed cathedrals and pagodas up to 7 meters tall and complete with detailed turrets, pillars, and balconies. 24 people working 12 hours a day for over a month to complete just one of their sugar-coated masterpieces. These guys can turn the most outlandish architectural design into a magnificent cake.
Pictures, as amazing as they look, do not show the true scale and enormity of the cake themselves. The largest of them measure around 7-meters-tall and can weigh dozens of pounds. So big that they would never fit in a normal car, the largest of their cakes required five trucks and eight man-hours to assemble. Epic cakes inspired mostly from popular Disney films may include lighting and diamond rings. simply fantastic!
Disappointed to learn that these breathtaking castles are only partially edible. The most detailed elements are actually made from Styrofoam which is then coated with fondant icing and decorated with sugar paste flowers. So while the base itself and sometimes the upper tiers are completely edible, when it comes to the towers, arches, or balconies, only the outside can be eaten. However, LeNovelle Cake claims that they can create 100% edible castles as well, they just haven’t gotten an order for one yet.
