Every detail in this tour was captured live — minutes before the doors opened on a real wedding day. Candles lit. Florals fresh. Every light at full glow. This is Crystal Plaza exactly as your guests will experience it.
Crystal Plaza in Livingston is one of New Jersey's most historic and most beloved wedding venues — a magnificent mansion built in the late 1800s by famed architect Stanford White, who also designed the Tiffany building on Fifth Avenue, the original Madison Square Garden, and the arch at Washington Square Park in Manhattan. The Janoff family has owned and operated Crystal Plaza for four generations — over 105 years — upholding the spirit of the period's architecture and building a legacy of white-glove service that has made this venue a fixture in Essex County wedding culture.
The Grand Ballroom is what the venue is named for. Glittering crystal chandeliers adorn the ceilings and walls of this stunning 5,000-square-foot space — originally the source of the Crystal Plaza name. A gold-detailed ceiling, ornate columns along the walls, a large round wooden dance floor, and curtain-dressed glass windows overlook the seasonal gardens. A Juliet balcony overlooks the scene from above. It accommodates up to 350 guests seated and 450 cocktail-style.
“If you want to get married in the Tri-State area, there is absolutely no competition for The Crystal Plaza. Every space is beyond stunning. The staff is completely unmatched. The food is to die for from start to finish. We wish we could do it all over again.”

The reason Crystal Plaza is named as it is — glittering crystal chandeliers adorning the ceilings and walls of a stunning 5,000 sq ft space. A gold-detailed ceiling, ornate columns, a large round wooden dance floor, curtain-dressed glass windows overlooking the gardens, and a Juliet balcony overlooking the scene from above. One of the most photographed ballrooms in Essex County.
The Atrium provides an additional elegant event space within the historic Stanford White mansion — naturally lit, architecturally distinctive, and perfectly suited for cocktail hour gatherings. The Janoff family has preserved the period's architectural spirit throughout, making every space in the mansion feel historically significant.
Crystal Plaza's gardens change beautifully with each season — lush and floral in spring and summer, warm and golden in fall, softly magical in winter. Multiple outdoor spaces provide ceremony backdrops and photography settings that work magnificently in every month of the year, complementing the historic mansion architecture throughout.
From arrival to farewell, every moment at Crystal Plaza is thoughtfully orchestrated.
